LeeAnn Thomas serves as chairman of the Whiteford Fall Festival, where she has been part of

the board since its beginning six years ago. She leads with a mission to serve and strengthen

the community. She is also an English teacher at Whiteford Agricultural School. Raised in

Lambertville, Michigan, LeeAnn attended Bedford Public Schools and later studied at the

University of Toledo. She began her teaching career at Bedford, where she met her husband

Jeff and taught for eight years before stepping away to homeschool her children.

During those years, LeeAnn was deeply involved in her church community. Married to her

husband, Jeff, for 29 years, together they have raised their seven children while living on a small

gentleman’s farm. They have raised steers, lambs and pigs continuing even after their children

completed their years in 4-H. LeeAnn has also been actively involved in 4-H for many years,

serving as a superintendent and now as a club leader. Today, her family is a bit spread out with

two daughters living in New York City, two married children living locally, two in college, and her

youngest, a junior attending Whiteford as well as her three grandsons.

A lover of books and chocolate, LeeAnn also started a small business called Whisked Away to

participate in the Whiteford Farmers Market where she first volunteered to help get it off the

ground and now serves as a certified Market Manager with Jane Berry.

Through her work, family life, and community involvement, she is passionate about creating

meaningful connections and bringing people together.
