Bernice’s family moved to Whiteford Township when she was three years old. She graduated from Whiteford High School, later married, and is now widowed. She has one stepson. Bernice attended college and went on to retire from her work at the Growing Tree Preschool and Afterschool program. Over the years, she has been actively involved in many organizations, including WRC, where she also served as a T-ball coach for several years, as well as the WCA, the Festival Committee, and as a former member of the Township Board.
